Top 25 Albums Italian America - Gianna Nannini

Top 25 Italian No Albums 2 "America" - Gianna Nannini

Since very little has released the new album, which seem nice, but nothing compared to the masterpiece which made Gianna a true rock icon. With "America" continues our personal rankings of the 25 best albums of Italian music

Even with the eponymous debut of 1976 and the subsequent "A clear" (1977) - containing " Mariapaola " "Rebecca "" We Live " beautiful songs, curiously never replicated - Gianna stuns critics and audiences, but is 1979 the year of consecration, with "California" an absolute masterpiece from the cover (censored vibrator stars and stripes in the hands of the Statue of Liberty) to the last furrow. "Good by my heart" is my favorite track, but "California" and "America" are no less as impact sound supported by wonderfully lyrical hit. The only discordant note is the cover of "Me and bobby McGee" by Kris Kristofferson and brought to success by Janis Joplin which Gianna approaches with too much deference without finding the courage to overwhelm the piece to fit his vocal style. An essential disk and hard as a cock in the morning. The same "fuck" peeping in the first draft of the text of "America: the cock that she she did not invent America," was replaced with "that she thinks she invents another America."
